Celia Davis is Senior Librarian for Adult Programming and Engagement at Oakland Public Library. She is co-lead of the library's Racial Equity Team and is deeply involved in integrating restorative practices into the library. She worked for many years with DataCenter: Research for Justice, working with low income community based organizations around North America to use knowledge to strategically build community power. Earlier on she helped represent the FMLN (Farabundo Marti National Liberation Movement) of El Salvador at the United Nations. The United Nations mediated a negotiated solution to the civil war with peace accords signed in 1992.
