Sheridan Cazarez

Early Literacy/Reading Program Specialist
Long Beach Public Library

Sheridan Jay Cazarez is the Early Literacy/Reading Program Specialist at the Long Beach Public Library in Long Beach, California.
He received his MSLIS from the iSchool at UIUC in 2023, and is a 2021-2022 ALA Spectrum Scholar. Interests include service to Latinxs and Spanish speakers, service to bilingual youth, and community engagement. He holds a BA in Spanish from CSULB, where studied the histories, literatures, cultures, and politics of the Americas, and translation methodologies. He serves as a union steward and PIO for IAM Local Lodge 1930, and on the Executive Board of the Los Angeles Chapter of REFORMA.
