Katie Wiebe

President
Friends of the Shafter Library

Katie Wiebe is the president of the Friends of the Shafter Library and was a leader in the group’s “Save the Shafter Library” effort. She is heavily involved in Shafter’s Little Free Library network and hosts steward gatherings to help facilitate connection among community literacy supporters. Katie has served as the Literacy Champion at Grow Academy Shafter for five years. For her efforts, Katie was honored by the local Chamber of Commerce as Shafter’s 2022 Citizen of the Year.
