Gavin Furman

Library Assistant II
South Lake Tahoe Library

Gavin Furman is a Library Assistant II with El Dorado County at their South Lake Tahoe branch working with the belief that a connection to the land is integral to a community's strength and wellbeing. He is passionate about building programs which show the deep rewards of learning one's local natural history, encourage looking at the natural world through a science-based creative lens, and help to make nature study accessible and meaningful for everyone. A competent interpretive naturalist into nature writing and photography, he'd love to chat with you about how libraries can build nature literacy and promote stewardship.
