Andrea Leiva is member of the Literacy Education for Adults & Families (LEAF) team at Santa Monica Public Library. Before joining Santa Monica Public Library she was a project manager at the UCLA Blum Center on Poverty and Health in Latin America. Her work focused on promoting health equity in the Americas through intersectoral partnerships. She helped launch the Health Equity Network of the Americas (HENA), an international network of policymakers, civil society leaders and researchers. Andrea's interest in health justice began at Planned Parenthood of NYC where she was a program coordinator within the Adult Education department.
