Emily Weak

Project Advisor
Pacific Library Partnership

Emily Weak (MLIS) is a project advisor, working with PLP and the California State Library to support libraries with LSTA grants. She is also the founder of the blog Hiring Librarians. Prior to her current work consulting and adivising, she worked in public libraries, most recently as Senior Librarian for Programming, Outreach and Engagement at the Oakland Public Library. She is proud of having started Mountain View Public Library's seed library in 2013. Before beoming a librarian, she was variously: a circus student, a cheesemonger, and a grocery store manager. She still loves cheese and does a decent back bend.
