Heather Tovey is the Library Literacy Manager at Butte County Library for nearly 9 years. Prior to managing Literacy Services she worked as a Family Literacy Specialist at the Butte County Office of Education as well as spending 15 years serving families at the Chico Branch of the Butte County Library where she often worked closely with library volunteers. She continues to marvel at the hope and possibilities volunteer library tutors ignite by sharing their time with adults in their community seeking to improve basic literacy skills.
