Ben Dickow

Library Director
Downey City Library

Benjamin Dickow is the Library Director for the City of Downey as well as the President and Executive Director of the City's aerospace museum, the Columbia Memorial Space Center. He has served the Library since 2017 and comes with a background in strategic planning, educational programming and public engagement. Benjamin has sought to better serve Downey and Southeast Los Angeles through the Library's mission "to ignite communities of creative and critical thinkers," leveraging the strengths of the Library, in collaboration with community partners, to engage the public throughout the region, bringing programs and services out of the Library's walls.
