Julia Schumacher

Adult Services Librarian for Literacy & Outreach
Beaumont Library District

Julia Schumacher is the Adult Services Librarian for Literacy & Outreach at the Beaumont Library District. She oversees adult education including Adult and ESL Literacy Programs, Family Literacy Programs, and Career Online High School. Julia is also part of the reference librarian term providing reference services and collection development. Before joining the Beaumont Library staff, Julia managed two branches in the Riverside County Library System; Cabazon Community Library and Palm Desert Library. Julia spent 24 years in public education working as a teacher, mentor teacher, literacy coach, and school librarian prior to moving into public libraries in 2017.
