Velva Hampson

Senior Librarian
CDCR - CSATF&SP

Velva Hampson has been a Senior Librarian with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) for fourteen years. She oversees library services at SATF&SP in Corcoran. During her time with CDCR, she has frequently been called on to provide training and mentoring to her peers. She also served on the Program Committee for CLA 2016. She has an MLS from Simmons College and a Post-Masters Certificate from SJSU. Velva has been part of the Visalia Players since 2016, and has been singing and acting since the late 1970s. She is owned by three cats and a dog.
